Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island holds off Bellevue
(February 3, 2012: Mercer Island, WA 98040) Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) backers were content Friday as they observed their basketball team nudge the visiting Bellevue Wolverines (Bellevue, WA), 53-52 in a league game.
In their next game, the Islanders face the Mount Si Wildcats (Snoqualmie, WA) in a 2A/3A KingCo game, on Thursday, February 9. Mercer Island will attempt to move on its 5-15 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 11-10 record after their 54-44 league win over Lake Washington (Kirkland, WA).
With the defeat, Bellevue moves to 10-9 on the year.
