(December 11, 2008: Ocoee, FL 34761) Orlando Lutheran Academy Crusaders (Orlando, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles (Ocoee, FL), 70-67 in a league bout.

With the win, Orlando Lutheran Academy upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Crusaders host Geneva (Winter Park, FL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, December 12. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Eagles play the Oldsmar Christian Eagles (Oldsmar, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 12. Central Florida Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 61-56 league win over Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL).

First Quarter Summary:
CFCA opened the game on a 7-0 run before Erik McRae scored to put OLA on the board. McRae would score 6 points in the quarter. Ron Jackson came off the bench and woke up the team with 8 points and 3 steals. CFCA's AJ Williams and Eddy Phial scored 6 points each.

After going 9-14 at the FT line in the first half, OLA shot 1-8 at the line in the quarter keeping CFCA within comeback reach.

Fourth Quarter Summary:
McRae scored 7 points including the go-ahead basket and the foul with :21 seconds remaining, following a Luke Brigham 3-pointer tied the game at 67-67. McRae missed the free-throw, but Shafaat grabbed his 7th offensive rebound of the game, and converted one of two free-throws to give OLA a 3 point lead with :19 seconds remaining.

CFCA outscored OLA 28-15 in the quarter behind Brigham's 8 points, and Williams' 9 points.

McRae finished the game with 15 points and 6 assists. Shafaat recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Williams led CFCA with 23 points.
