Washington High School Basketball - Interlake trounced by Mercer Island

(January 31, 2012: Bellevue, WA 98008) The Mercer Island Islanders routed the host Interlake Saints basketball team by a final score of 61-39 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Islanders face the Lake Washington Kangaroos (Kirkland, WA) in a 2A/3A KingCo game, on Thursday, February 2. Mercer Island will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Kangaroos come into the battle with a 13-5 record after their 55-46 league win over Liberty (Renton, WA).

The Saints (6-13) will now prepare for their battle against Juanita (Kirkland, WA). The Rebels come into the 2A/3A KingCo battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, Juanita triumphed over Liberty (Renton, WA), 51-38, in a league battle.
