California High School Basketball - Torrey Pines holds off St. Mary's

(December 30, 2009: San Diego, CA 92130) Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting St. Mary's Rams (Stockton, CA), 63-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Torrey Pines upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Falcons host Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 15. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Rams play the Lincoln Trojans (Stockton, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 2. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 62-53 non-league loss to Galt (Galt, CA).
