California High School Basketball - Gabrielino holds off Bell Gardens

(December 9, 2011: Bell Gardens, CA 90201) Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Bell Gardens Lancers (Bell Gardens, CA), 70-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gabrielino upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Marshall (Pasadena, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Marshall won 68-50 in their recent non-league bout against Poly (Pasadena, CA)

Next up, the Lancers play the Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Bell Gardens will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 4-1 record after their 57-40 non-league win over Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA).
