New York High School Basketball - Sacred Heart winner over Mount Mercy Academy
(January 12, 2012: Yonkers, NY 10703) The Sacred Heart Irish (Yonkers, NY) basketball knocked off the visiting Mount Mercy Academy Magic (Buffalo, NY), 51-35 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Irish (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Monsignor Scanlan (Bronx, NY). The Crusaders go into the Catholic test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Monsignor Scanlan was beaten by Preston (Bronx, NY), 56-16, in a league test.
The Magic now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Sacred Heart Academy for a Monsignor Martin test on Thursday, January 12. Mount Mercy Academy will clash with a Sharks squad coming off a 51-41 league loss to Holy Angels Academy (Buffalo, NY). The Sharks record now stands at 1-2.
