California High School Basketball - Saratoga prevails Fremont

(January 25, 2012: Sunnyvale, CA 94087) Saratoga Falcons (Saratoga, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Saratoga upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Falcons host Los Altos (Los Altos, CA) to play the Eagles in a El Camino bout on Friday, January 27. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Los Altos lost 68-67 in their recent league bout against Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA)

Next up, the Firebirds battle the Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Fremont will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 59-44 league loss to Cupertino (Cupertino, CA).
