Missouri High School Basketball - Jackson falls to Vianney

(December 22, 2011: Jackson, MO 63755) The Vianney Golden Griffins basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Jackson Fighting Indians to 60 in the Golden Griffins non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Griffins now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Louis University for a Metro Catholic contest on Tuesday, January 3. Vianney will meet a Junior Bills team coming off a 69-46 non-league win over Bishop DuBourg (St. Louis, MO). The Junior Bills record now stands at 6-4.

The Fighting Indians (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Leopold (Leopold, MO). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Leopold ran past Meadow Heights (Patton, MO), 70-32, in a league contest.
