Pennsylvania High School Football - Burrell topped by Shady Side Academy
(October 7, 2011: Lower Burrell, PA 15068) The Burrell Bucs football team (Lower Burrell, PA), was beaten 35-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Shady Side Academy Indians (Pittsburgh, PA)
The Indians (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Vikings come into the WPIAL AA Allegheny challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Apollo Ridge was beaten by Freeport (Freeport, PA), 34-14, in a league challenge.
The Bucs now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summit Academy for a WPIAL AA Allegheny challenge on Saturday, October 15. Burrell will meet a Kinghts team coming off a 21-20 league loss to Ford City (Ford City, PA). The Kinghts record now stands at 3-3.
