(January 14, 2012: Cambridge, NE 69022) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cambridge Trojans (Cambridge, NE) and the visiting Hayes Center Cardinals (Hayes Center, NE), saw Cambridge's basketball squad hold off Hayes Center by a score of 70-66.

With the victory, Cambridge improves its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Dundy County (Benkelman, NE) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Dundy County won 59-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Wallace (Wallace, NE)

Next up, the Cardinals battle the Southwest Roughriders (Indianola, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Hayes Center will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Roughriders come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 71-38 league loss to St. Patrick's (North Platte, NE).
