(January 20, 2012: La Porte, TX 77571) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the North Shore Mustangs (Houston, TX) and the host La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX), saw North Shore's basketball squad knock off La Porte by a score of 58-42.

With the victory, North Shore improves its record to 19-11 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Sterling (Baytown, TX) to battle the Rangers in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Rangers come into the challenge with a record of 3-20. Sterling lost 44-26 in their recent league challenge against Channelview (Channelview, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Port Arthur Memorial Titans (Port Arthur, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. La Porte will attempt to advance on its 18-11 season record. The Titans go into the test with a 16-8 record after their 65-42 league win over West Brook (Beaumont, TX).
