California High School Basketball - Chadwick can't hold off St. Monica

(January 7, 2012: Santa Monica, CA 90403) The St. Monica Mariners basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Chadwick Dolphins to 40 in the Mariners non-league victory on Saturday.

The Mariners now sport a 9-7 record. They play next when they host La Salle for a Camino Real contest on Tuesday, January 10. St. Monica will meet a Lancers team coming off a 69-39 non-league win over Maranatha (Pasadena, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 10-5.

The Dolphins (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Westridge (Pasadena, CA). The Tigers come into the Prep contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Westridge edged Flintridge Prep (La Canada, CA), 48-39, in a league contest.
