(January 6, 2012: Batesville, MS 38606) In Friday's league match, the visiting Grenada Chargers basketball team scored a good 60-51 triumph over the South Panola Tigers.

In their next game, the Chargers confront the Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 7. Grenada will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 7-10 record after their 68-62 league win over Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS).

With the defeat, South Panola moves to 6-3 on the year. The Tigers host Tupelo (Tupelo, MS) to confront the Golden Wave in a 6A Region 2 match on Tuesday, January 10. The Golden Wave enter the match with a record of 12-6. Tupelo won 51-43 in their recent non-league match against Southaven (Southaven, MS)
