Texas High School Basketball - Amherst falls to Anton
(January 31, 2012: Anton, TX 79313) The Anton Bulldogs basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Amherst Bulldogs to 46 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Petersburg for a 1A-2 Region I District 5 game on Tuesday, February 7. Anton will face a Buffaloes team coming off a 56-10 league win over Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 8-11.
With the defeat, Amherst moves to 3-10 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Whiteface (Whiteface, TX) to face the Antelopes in a 1A-2 Region I District 5 game on Friday, February 3. The Antelopes enter the game with a record of 6-16. Whiteface won 68-28 in their recent league game against Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX)
