California High School Basketball - Piedmont Hills thwarts Ukiah

(December 30, 2011: Ukiah, CA 95482) The Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) basketball felled the host Ukiah Wildcats (Ukiah, CA), 61-46 in Friday's non-league test.

The Pirates (10-0) will now prepare for their test against Leland (San Jose, CA). The Chargers go into the Mount Hamilton test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Leland defeated Westmont (Campbell, CA), 44-31, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Cardinal Newman for a North Bay test on Wednesday, January 4. Ukiah will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 50-30 non-league win over Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-2.
