(January 10, 2012: Surprise, AZ 85374) The Deer Valley Skyhawks topped the host Willow Canyon Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 49-40 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Skyhawks face the O'Connor Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) in a I Section III game, on Friday, January 13. Deer Valley will attempt to move on its 12-5 season record.

With the defeat, Willow Canyon moves to 8-11 on the year. The Wildcats host Ironwood (Glendale, AZ) to face the Eagles in a I Section I game on Thursday, January 12. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 4-11. Ironwood lost 63-55 in their recent league contest against Independence (Glendale, AZ)
