New York High School Football - Holy Cross trounced by Mt. St. Michael Academy

(October 8, 2011: Bronx, NY 10466) Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers (Bronx, NY) fans left the game satisfied Saturday as they observed their football team rout the visiting Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY), 43-0 in a league test.

With the win, Mt. St. Michael Academy improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY) to confront the Vikings in a Catholic AAA-AA test on Saturday, October 15. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 1-4. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea lost 49-18 in their recent league test against Chaminade (Mineola, NY)

With the loss, Holy Cross moves to 3-2 on the season. The Knights travel to Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY) to confront the Crusaders in a Catholic AAA-AA test on Saturday, October 15. The Crusaders go into the test with a record of 4-1. Archbishop Stepinac lost 55-29 in their recent league test against St. Anthony's (Melville, NY)
