(March 27, 2009: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308) Cardinal Gibbons Redskins (Fort Lauderdale, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Palmetto Ridge Bears (Naples, FL), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Redskins now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chiles for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 28. Cardinal Gibbons will battle a Timberwolves squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Satellite (Satellite Beach, FL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Palmetto Ridge falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Royal Palm Beach (Royal Palm Beach, FL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 27. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
