Texas High School Basketball - DeSoto prevails Horn

(January 20, 2012: Mesquite, TX 75181) DeSoto Eagles (De Soto, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Horn Jaguars (Mesquite, TX), 47-34 in a league bout.

With the win, DeSoto upgrades its record to 20-3 on the season. The Eagles host Pantego Christian (Arlington, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 12-9.

Next up, the Jaguars battle the North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Horn will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record. The Stallions come into the challenge with a 4-21 record after their 54-37 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX).
