Maryland High School Football - Loyola overwhelms Boys Latin

(September 8, 2007: Towson, MD 21204) The crowd at Saturday's non-league contest between the Loyola Dons (Towson, MD) and the visiting Boys Latin Lakers (Baltimore, MD), observed Loyola's football squad bounce Boys Latin by a count of 49-7.

The Dons now own a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Landon for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 15. Loyola will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 33-16 non-league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Bears record now stands at 0-1.

Coming up next, the Lakers encounter the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA B - North contest, on Friday, September 14. Boys Latin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Crusaders go into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 23-7 non-league loss to Catonsville (Baltimore, MD).
