Arizona High School Basketball - Mountain View prevails Tucson

(January 16, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85705) Mountain View Mountain Lions (Tucson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Tucson Badgers (Tucson, AZ), 49-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Mountain Lions host Canyon del Oro (Tucson, AZ) to encounter the Dorados in a II Section I bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Dorados go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Canyon del Oro won 63-53 in their recent league bout against Flowing Wells (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Badgers encounter the Rincon Rangers (Tucson, AZ) in a I Section II bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Tucson will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 69-57 non-league loss to Nogales (Nogales, AZ).
