(October 24, 2008: Torrance, CA 90503) The Bishop Montgomery Knights football team (Torrance, CA), was beaten 27-13 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Verbum Dei Eagles (Los Angeles, CA)

The Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Harvard-Westlake (North Hollywood, CA). The Wolverines come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Harvard-Westlake was beaten by Serra (Gardena, CA), 24-7, in a league challenge.

The Knights now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cantwell-Sacred Heart for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 31. Bishop Montgomery will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 28-7 non-league win over Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-3.
