(January 24, 2012: Ellisville, MS 39437) The Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS) basketball felled the host South Jones Braves (Ellisville, MS), 68-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Tigers (16-6) will now prepare for their test against Meridian (Meridian, MS). The Wildcats go into the 6A Region 5 test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Meridian defeated Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS), 51-38, in a league test.

The Braves now own a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Jones for a 5A Region 5 outing on Friday, January 27. South Jones will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 73-38 league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-11.
