Virginia High School Basketball - Halifax County falls to Glass
(December 2, 2011: Lynchburg, VA 24501) The Glass Hilltoppers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Halifax County Comets to 36 in the Hilltoppers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Hilltoppers now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockbridge County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Glass will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 39-28 non-league loss to Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Halifax County moves to 1-2 on the year. The Comets travel to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 14. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-2.
