Florida High School Basketball - White nips Doral Academy
(January 16, 2012: Jacksonville, FL 32210) Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the White Commanders (Jacksonville, FL) and the visiting Doral Academy Firebirds (Doral, FL), saw White's basketball squad hold off Doral Academy by a score of 43-36.
With the victory, White improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Commanders host First Coast (Jacksonville, FL) to battle the Buccaneers in a 7A District 2 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. First Coast won 68-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Bradford (Starke, FL)
Next up, the Firebirds battle the Doctors Charter Hawks (Miami, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Doral Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 51-32 league loss to Mater Lakes Academy (Miami, FL).
