Oregon High School Basketball - Regis topped by Western Mennonite
(January 24, 2012: Salem, OR 97304) The Western Mennonite Pioneers basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Regis Rams to 57 in the Pioneers league victory on Tuesday.
The Pioneers now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scio for a 2A Tri-River match on Friday, January 27. Western Mennonite will confront a Loggers team coming off a 51-44 league win over Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 3-10.
With the defeat, Regis moves to 12-5 on the year. The Rams travel to Santiam (Mill City, OR) to confront the Wolverines in a 2A Tri-River match on Friday, January 27. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 4-14. Santiam lost 51-44 in their recent league match against Scio (Scio, OR)
