South Carolina High School Basketball - Laurence Manning Academy fells Ben Lippen
(January 12, 2012: Manning, SC 29102) Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats (Manning, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Ben Lippen Falcons (Columbia, SC), 59-50 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Laurence Manning Academy upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Swampcats host Lee Academy (Bishopville, SC) to play the Cavaliers in a SCISA AAA Region II bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Lee Academy lost 73-39 in their recent league bout against Orangeburg Prep (Orangeburg, SC)
Next up, the Falcons play the Thomas Sumter Academy Generals (Dalzell, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Ben Lippen will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Generals enter the game with a 7-8 record after their 48-47 league win over St. John's Christian Academy (Moncks Corner, SC).
