Georgia High School Basketball - Laney thwarts Morgan County
(January 16, 2012: Augusta, GA 30901) The Laney Wildcats (Augusta, GA) basketball felled the visiting Morgan County Bulldogs (Madison, GA), 53-40 in Monday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Tigers go into the 3-AA test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Swainsboro defeated Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 79-51, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lamar County for a 4-AA test on Friday, January 20. Morgan County will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 60-53 league win over Northeast (Macon, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-4.
