Washington High School Basketball - Olympia thwarts Gig Harbor

(January 6, 2012: Gig Harbor, WA 98335) The Olympia Bears (Olympia, WA) basketball felled the host Gig Harbor Tides (Gig Harbor, WA), 61-53 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Mt. Tahoma (Tacoma, WA). The T-Birds go into the 4A Narrows test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Mt. Tahoma went down by Foss (Tacoma, WA), 76-62, in a non-league test.

The Tides now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host South Kitsap for a 4A Narrows test on Wednesday, January 11. Gig Harbor will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 62-53 league loss to Central Kitsap (Silverdale, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 6-5.
