(January 7, 2012: Grenada, MS 38901) Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) and the visiting Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS), saw Grenada's basketball squad tip Hernando by a margin of 56-50.

The Chargers (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Falcons go into the 6A Region 2 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Columbus was tipped by Tupelo (Tupelo, MS), 60-34, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they host Clarksdale for a 5A Region 1 test on Tuesday, January 10. Hernando will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 60-59 non-league win over Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-14.
