Texas High School Basketball - Cooper overwhelms Greenwood

(December 6, 2011: Midland, TX 79706) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) and the host Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX), saw Cooper's basketball squad trounce Greenwood by a score of 61-34.

With the victory, Cooper improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to play the Plainsmen in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Rangers play the Early Longhorns (Early, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 8. Greenwood will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 50-37 non-league win over Midland Lee (Midland, TX).
