Kentucky High School Football - Woodford County nips Montgomery County

(September 7, 2007: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353) In Friday's league match, the visiting Woodford County Yellowjackets football squad scored a close 21-14 victory over the Montgomery County Indians.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Bryan Station Defenders (Lexington, KY) in a 5A District 6 match, on Friday, September 14. Woodford County will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Defenders enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 58-21 league loss to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY).

The Indians (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Colonels enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Bourbon County nudged West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 28-6, in a non-league battle.
