Texas High School Basketball - Georgetown crushes Forest Park

(December 29, 2011: Georgetown, TX 78626) Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Forest Park Bruins (Woodbridge, VA), 64-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Georgetown upgrades its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Stony Point (Round Rock, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, January 6. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 17-8.

Next up, the Bruins play the Gar-Field Indians (Woodbridge, VA) in a AAA Cardinal bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Forest Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 61-44 non-league loss to Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA).
