Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez crushes North Pointe Prep

(January 27, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85051) Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host North Pointe Prep Falcons (Phoenix, AZ), 60-19 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cortez upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Vikings in a non-league battle on Monday, January 30. The Vikings come into the battle with a record of 11-6. Sunnyslope won 56-44 in their recent non-league battle against Apollo (Glendale, AZ)

The Falcons (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Tonopah Valley (Tonopah, AZ). The Phoenix come into the III Section III battle with a 5-13 record. In their last battle, Tonopah Valley was overwhelmed by Salome (Salome, AZ), 50-30, in a non-league battle.
