(January 17, 2012: Saugus, CA 91350) Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Valencia Vikings (Valencia, CA), 83-81 in a league bout.

With the victory, Saugus upgrades its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to West Ranch (Valencia, CA) to play the Wildcats in a Foothill bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-9. West Ranch lost 56-52 in their recent league bout against Canyon (Canyon Country, CA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Hart Indians (Newhall, CA) in a Foothill bout, on Friday, January 20. Valencia will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 91-60 league win over Golden Valley (Santa Clarita, CA).
