(October 10, 2008: Concord, NC 28027) The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans football team (Concord, NC), was tipped 17-14 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC)

The Greyhounds (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils come into the North Piedmont challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Mooresville was tipped by Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC), 17-7, in a league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Iredell for a North Piedmont test on Friday, October 17. Northwest Cabarrus will confront a Warriors team coming off a 33-14 league win over North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
