Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island trounces Interlake
(January 30, 2012: Mercer Island, WA 98040) The Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) basketball crushed the visiting Interlake Saints (Bellevue, WA), 74-45 in Monday's league outing.
The Islanders (15-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lake Washington (Kirkland, WA). The Kangaroos go into the 2A/3A KingCo outing with a 15-4 record. In their last outing, Lake Washington smashed Liberty (Renton, WA), 55-45, in a league outing.
The Saints now hold a 3-15 record. They take the field next when they host Juanita for a 2A/3A KingCo outing on Thursday, February 2. Interlake will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 71-59 league loss to Sammamish (Bellevue, WA). The Rebels record now stands at 6-14.
