Florida High School Basketball - Newsome falls to Plant

(January 3, 2012: Tampa, FL 33629) The Plant Panthers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Newsome Wolves to 52 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the victory, Plant upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Robinson (Tampa, FL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 12-2. Robinson won 61-24 in their recent league bout against Middleton (Tampa, FL)

Next up, the Wolves play the East Bay Indians (Gibsonton, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Newsome will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 87-61 league win over Hillsborough (Tampa, FL).
