(January 20, 2012: Cypress, TX 77429) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cy-Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX) and the visiting Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), saw Cy-Woods's basketball squad trounce Cypress Lakes by a score of 76-43.

With the victory, Cy-Woods improves its record to 23-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 5A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, January 24. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 17-13. Cypress Ranch lost 44-34 in their recent league test against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX)

The Spartans now own a 4-20 record. They take the field next when they host Langham Creek for a 5A Region III District 17 test on Tuesday, January 24. Cypress Lakes will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 40-16 league win over Cypress Springs (Cypress, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 10-14.
