Missouri High School Basketball - Festus overwhelmed by Central
(February 4, 2012: Cape Girardeau, MO 63703) The Central Tigers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Festus Tigers to 30 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 14-6 record. They play next when they host Jackson for a Southeast Missouri contest on Tuesday, February 7. Central will meet a Fighting Indians team coming off a 71-66 non-league win over Farmington (Farmington, MO). The Fighting Indians record now stands at 13-9.
The Tigers (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Zumwalt North (O'Fallon, MO). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Fort Zumwalt North trounced Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, MO), 60-44, in a league contest.
