New York High School Football - St. John the Baptist defeats St. Francis Prep

(October 14, 2011: Fresh Meadows, NY 11365) In Friday's league match, the visiting St. John the Baptist Cougars football squad scored a good 42-33 victory over the St. Francis Prep Terriers.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Xavier Knights (New York, NY) in a Catholic AA-A match, on Saturday, October 22. St. John the Baptist will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 34-14 league win over St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY).

The Terriers (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Christ the King (Middle Village, NY). The Royals enter the Catholic AA-A match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Christ the King ran past Cardinal Spellman (Bronx, NY), 34-27, in a league match.
