Oregon High School Basketball - Riverdale edges Nestucca
(January 24, 2012: Portland, OR 97219) The Riverdale Mavericks (Portland, OR) basketball nudged the visiting Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR), 42-36 in Tuesday's league contest.
The Mavericks now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gaston for a 2A Northwest contest on Thursday, January 26. Riverdale will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 52-51 league win over Vernonia (Vernonia, OR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 8-4.
The Bobcats (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Bible Christian (Aloha, OR). The enter the 2A Northwest contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Faith Bible Christian nudged Delphian (Sheridan, OR), 40-33, in a league contest.
