California High School Basketball - Berkeley thwarts Richmond

(February 10, 2012: Berkeley, CA 94703) The Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) basketball felled the visiting Richmond Oilers (Richmond, CA), 70-50 in Friday's league test.

The Yellowjackets (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Sheldon (Sacramento, CA). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 20-5 record. In their last test, Sheldon defeated Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA), 92-57, in a league test.

The Oilers now own a 0-25 record. They take the field next when they host De Anza for a Alameda Contra Costa test on Tuesday, February 14. Richmond will clash with a Dons squad coming off a 80-72 league loss to Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA). The Dons record now stands at 17-8.
