Texas High School Basketball - La Vega edges St. Stephen's Episcopal

(December 10, 2011: Austin, TX 78746) The La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) basketball nipped the host St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans (Austin, TX), 54-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pirates (10-2) will now prepare for their test against University (Waco, TX). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, University was tipped by Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX), 78-18, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host St. Andrew's for a Southwest Prep - South test on Tuesday, December 13. St. Stephen's Episcopal will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 29-28 non-league loss to Meridian (Meridian, TX). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-4.
