Texas High School Basketball - Dumas can't hold off Canyon
(February 7, 2012: Canyon, TX 79015) The Canyon Eagles basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Dumas Demons to 51 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 14-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palo Duro for a 4A Region I District 3 contest on Friday, February 10. Canyon will meet a Dons team coming off a 67-65 league loss to Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Dons record now stands at 14-11.
The Demons (5-21) will now prepare for their contest against Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region I District 3 contest with a 18-11 record. In their last contest, Plainview nudged Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX), 67-65, in a league contest.
