Tennessee High School Basketball - Smith County trounces Cannon County
(January 13, 2012: Carthage, TN 37030) The Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) basketball crushed the visiting Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN), 80-52 in Friday's league test.
The Owls (14-9) will now prepare for their test against DeKalb County (Smithville, TN). The Tigers go into the AA District 8 test with a 13-4 record.
The Lions now own a 6-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Asheville for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Cannon County will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 90-66 league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-5.
