Arizona High School Basketball - Centennial prevails North Canyon

(January 26, 2012: Peoria, AZ 85381) Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ), 60-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Centennial upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Independence (Glendale, AZ) to encounter the Patriots in a I Section I bout on Friday, January 27. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Independence lost 72-67 in their recent non-league bout against Washington (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Rattlers encounter the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) in a I Section III bout, on Friday, January 27. North Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Firebirds go into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 60-46 league loss to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ).
