Texas High School Basketball - Canyon topples Alamo Heights
(January 31, 2012: San Antonio, TX 78209) In Tuesday's league outing, the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) basketball squad beat the host Alamo Heights Mules (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 48-39.
The Cougars (21-7) will now prepare for their outing against Clemens (Schertz, TX). The Buffaloes go into the 4A Region IV District 27 outing with a 12-19 record. In their last game, Clemens achieved victory over Hays (Buda, TX), 47-37, in a league game.
With the defeat, Alamo Heights moves to 16-15 on the year. The Mules travel to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX) to face the Rangers in a 4A Region IV District 27 game on Friday, February 3. The Rangers enter the game with a record of 11-20. Smithson Valley won 57-39 in their recent league game against Lehman (Kyle, TX)
