Texas High School Basketball - Gunter overwhelms Marietta
(December 8, 2011: Gunter, TX 75058) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) and the visiting Marietta Indians (Marietta, OK), saw Gunter's basketball squad trounce Marietta by a score of 65-26.
With the victory, Gunter improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Madill (Madill, OK) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Madill won 63-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX)
Next up, the Indians battle the Kingston Redskins (Kingston, OK) in a Lake Country challenge, on Friday, December 9. Marietta will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 55-32 non-league loss to Colbert (Colbert, OK).
