(January 24, 2012: Fort Worth, TX 76108) The Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) basketball nipped the host Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX), 48-43 in Tuesday's league test.

The Porcupines (16-13) will now prepare for their test against Aledo (Aledo, TX). The Bearcats go into the 4A Region I District 5 test with a 24-4 record. In their last test, Aledo nipped Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX), 62-47, in a league outing.

The Bears now own a 9-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boswell for a 4A Region I District 5 outing on Friday, January 27. Brewer will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 38-35 league win over Azle (Azle, TX). The Pioneers record now stands at 11-14.
